Bio

Here is just a little bit about me!

I am 31 years old and I am the oldest of two children.  My mother was a teacher in MCPSS for 39 years and my father owned his own electrical business until I was in middle school.  He then went to work for South Alabama Utilities where he retired from 3 years ago.  I have one brother who will be 30 this year.  He is a store manger at the Foo in midtown.  I am blessed to be Godmother to 2 beautiful girls and 1 very handsome little boy.  Some of my favorite things to do outside of school are cooking, driving with the music to loud, the beach, and spending time with friends and family.  I currently live in Mobile but grew up in Citronelle.  My favorite time of the year is football season.  You can find me watching games on Saturday cheering on my Jags or the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Education

I am a graduate of Citronelle High School.  After high school I went to the new Coastal Alabama Community College where I received my Associates degree in the Arts.  From there I finished my education at The University of South Alabama where I earned my bachelors in the Science of Education.  I am certified to teach K-6 general Education and Special Education.  I also received my early childhood certification.  I plan to go on and get my masters in behavior and earn my BCBA.

Teaching

I have been teaching in Mobile County Public School Systems for six years.  All six years have been at Collins-Rhodes Elementary School.  While here I have been in the Special Education department for 5 years as the Kindergarten through 3rd grade resource teacher.  I spent one year in Special Education Prek 3.
