Welcome

The library media program at Collins-Rhodes will enable individuals to become information literate and effective lifelong readers.

Library Hours
Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 2:55 p.m.

Our library operates on combination fixed and flexible schedule. This means that there are scheduled times for teaching as well as flexible time for the students to come into the library as needed.

Staff
Mrs. Shari Piccini is our library media specialist. She attended WP Davidson High School( 1982), Spring Hill College (1985, BS Elem. Ed.) and the University of South Alabama (1992,M.ED. in Educational Media).

Mrs. Piccini is married and has five children, all boys!

VOLUNTEERS

Ms. Ashley Hailes is our library volunteer. Ashley graduated from McGill-Toolen Catholic High School and currently attends Bishop State. She is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood education and has plans to be a  library media specialist.

BOOK CHECK OUT

Students may visit the library during open checkout times to check out a book or they may checkout a book when they come with their class. Books may be checked out for two weeks and renewed as needed.

First Grade - One Book
Second - Fifth Grades Two Books

Lost or Damaged Books

No late fines will be assessed. If a book is misplaced and can't be found or damaged so that the book must be removed from the collection the student may not check out a book until the book is returned or the the cost of the book has been paid.

Books that are lost or damaged are subject to a replacement fee. Special repayment plans are available on an individual basis.
